Description
AUSTRIA ? Consisting of three equally sized horizontal stripes, Austria?s national flag is made up of one white strip at it center, with red stripes occupy the banner?s top and bottom. The red, white and red tribar refers, as legend has it, to the blood stained tunic of Duke Leopold V who did battle during the Crusades. Austria, which adopted this current version of the flag in 1984, also has a state flag which includes a coat of arms at its center.
